Your First Time at Upper East Side Comedy Club: What to Know

Most of the questions we get from first-time guests boil down to "where exactly is it" and "what's the deal." Here's the whole deal in one place.

Where exactly is it?

206 East 67th Street, between 2nd and 3rd Avenue. The 40-seat comedy room is in the back of Bedford Falls, the bar that occupies the storefront. There's no separate entrance — walk into Bedford Falls, head straight back through the main floor, and you're in the room. Closest subway: 68th Street – Hunter College on the 6 line, one block away.

What time should I arrive?

Doors open 30 minutes before showtime. If you want a front-row seat, arrive 15-20 minutes early — the room is general admission and seats fill from the front out. Showtimes are typically 8:00 PM and 10:00 PM on Friday and Saturday, single shows on Thursday.

Is there a drink or food minimum?

Yes — one-item minimum per person. That's one drink or one food item. Bedford Falls has a full bar and a kitchen.

What's the age policy?

21+, valid ID required at the door. No exceptions.

How much are tickets?

$15 for Thursday shows, $20 for Friday and Saturday. All ticket sales go through uppereastsidecomedyclub.com or the Wix Events page for each show. Add 8.875% NY tax at checkout.

Who books the comics?

The same lineups you see at Comedy Cellar, the Tonight Show, Kill Tony, and Just for Laughs — working New York comics with real credits, plus a rotating mix of up-and-comers we want to put on a stage. Every show has a host who keeps the room moving and stays out of the way. No four-comic showcases pretending to be a lineup. Real shows.

What's the room actually like?

Forty seats. Tight rows. Stage at floor level. Bar service throughout the show. The lighting is warm, the ceiling is low, and there's no bad seat — every seat is within 25 feet of the mic. It's the smallest comedy room in NYC by a wide margin. For comparison: Comedy Cellar's main room is around 150, Comic Strip is around 150, Gotham is around 300.

What's your refund policy?

Tickets are non-refundable, but exchangeable up to 24 hours before the show. Email us — we'll move you to another date. Day-of cancellations: no refund. Plan accordingly.

Bachelor or bachelorette parties? Big groups?

Welcome. Groups of 6+, please email funny@funnypeopleat.com in advance and we'll hold seats together.

Is the venue accessible?

Yes — the room and restrooms are fully wheelchair accessible.

Can I take photos or video?

Pre-show and post-show photos: yes. During the set: phones away. Comics work months on bits and don't want them on TikTok before they're ready.
